Atelier is Santa Cruz Dance Theater’s annual showcase of student choreography, giving young creators the opportunity to develop their artistic voice through the process of creating original dances.  It features an open section where any dance students in Santa Cruz County can submit a work, and an adjudicated section featuring works by students in Useldinger’s Composers’ Forum.

The culminating performance allows these new works to be presented before a live audience, giving students invaluable experience as creative artists. Atelier celebrates experimentation, individuality, and the next generation of choreographic voices in a supportive and inspiring environment.
